WIG gets King’s Cross on track with UK’s largest neutral-host network

The redevelopment of King’s Cross by Argent is one of the largest and most ambitious projects in London.

INFORMATION

The redevelopment of King’s Cross by Argent is one of the largest and most ambitious projects in London. A largely redundant industrial site has been transformed into a vibrant community campus  with offices, homes, shops, galleries, bars, restaurants, schools, and even a university.

Extending to over 67 acres and with over 50 buildings planned, it is already home to Google’s new European HQ, as well as Samsung, Universal Music, YouTube,  Havas and Facebook. It is no surprise that Argent’s ambitions for community-wide mobile services matched its impressive schedule of tenants.

WIG and Argent worked together from an early stage to create a neutral host infrastructure strategy that focused on delivering the best mobile experience for tenants and visitors.  Argent had turned to WIG as the most experienced provider of neutral host mobile infrastructure in the UK and together we devised a scalable solution that will grow alongside the development masterplan for the site – a plan that is set to evolve for many years to come.

WIG implemented an innovative design and installation program to fit with Argent’s development strategy, taking into consideration the high specification finishes to many buildings and working closely with tenants to ensure minimal disruption. Our pioneering neutral host  solution at King’s Cross supports all of the UK mobile networks and is underpinned by high capacity fibre and a dedicated super hub that will scale with site development and will be quick to adopt new innovations in mobile technology.

As King’s Cross continues to expand, our long-term partnership with Argent will ensure that the evolving connectivity needs of tenants and visitors are met.
